Crosspost Local
Terms of Use
Last updated July 22, 2026
These Terms govern Crosspost Local, a private single-user utility operated by Karol Janowski, doing business as Narratwist. It is not offered as a public account, hosted publishing service, or consumer download.
Operator responsibility
The operator is responsible for having all necessary rights to every video, title, description, tag, and other item; selecting accurate audience, disclosure, notification, and visibility settings; protecting credentials and the local machine; and complying with applicable law and every connected platform's terms, developer policies, and community rules.
YouTube terms
By using Crosspost Local's YouTube features, the operator agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, including the YouTube Community Guidelines. The operator must not violate another person's copyright, privacy, or other rights.
Uploads and visibility
Crosspost Local requires a final review before an upload is queued. The app displays the identified destination channel, media role, custom-thumbnail status for a long-form upload, and requested visibility. Private is the default. Public and unlisted requests are enabled only when the configured YouTube API project has the applicable audit approval. YouTube may still reject, delay, change, privately lock, or remove content.
YouTube feature limits
Crosspost Local can create separate long-form and Short uploads, set supported metadata and audience choices, select visibility, and apply a custom thumbnail to the long-form upload. The supported public YouTube Data API does not let Crosspost add or copy end screens or set a Short's Related Video, so those two YouTube Studio controls are not part of the upload.
Access, deletion, and revocation
The operator may delete local YouTube history or disconnect YouTube at any time in the Connections screen. Disconnecting deletes local YouTube data immediately and asks Google to revoke the credential. A failed provider revocation may remain encrypted solely for retry. Access may also be revoked in Google's own account-security controls.
No guarantee
Platform APIs, quotas, policies, review requirements, limits, and pricing can change. Crosspost Local is provided for the operator's own use without a promise of uninterrupted availability, successful delivery, platform approval, or continued API access. Ambiguous remote creation results are not automatically retried when doing so could create a duplicate.
Changes
These Terms may be updated to reflect material app, legal, or platform-policy changes. A new local policy version must be accepted before the app's features can be used again.
