Local control
Credentials, temporary source videos, the selected long-form thumbnail, and publishing records are handled on the operator's machine. YouTube history is deleted automatically after 30 days.
No public accounts
Crosspost Local is not a hosted service, public signup, consumer download, or multi-user product.
YouTube integration
Channel-identified, operator-confirmed uploads
Crosspost requests only YouTube upload and read-only access, identifies the exact destination channel, and can create separate long-form and Short uploads in one confirmed publish run. It applies the selected long-form custom thumbnail through the supported YouTube API.
The public YouTube Data API does not support adding or copying end screens or setting a Short's Related Video. Crosspost publishes without those two YouTube Studio controls and does not automate YouTube Studio.
